‘GMES: New Opportunities for Eastern Europe’ conference took place from 3-4 May 2012 in Bucharest, Romania – ESA’s newest member state.
The conference aimed to increase awareness amongst Eastern European countries about GMES and its potential benefits for the environment, civil security and commerce.
EUROGI contributed to the GMES round table discussion, on invitation of EURISY, based on the experience of EUROGI members and stakeholders regarding the potential benefits of future GMES downstream services, as well as on the needs to improve the conditions for end-users to access and sustainably use these serivces.
