Club International AFIGEO (French Association for Geographic Information) and its partners (CNIG , CMI , OGE , IGN FI, Groupe FIT, Star-Apic) organize a workshop on "Geographic Information: cities and territories in the Mediterranean area " on 12-13 October 2011 in Marseille, France. The main objective is to raise awareness about geographic information as a tool for spatial planning and development, shared by public and private stakeholders. Two topics will be more particularly discussed: the access to territorial data and the management of land (tool for tax collection, development and governance). Information: Geographic Information: cities and territories in the Mediterranean area " on 12-13 October 2011 in Marseille Thanks to the support the Marseille Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI), a platform for multi-partner programs administered by the World Bank, this workshop will be part of the "Mediterranean Economic Week" which will take place from 10 to 15 October 2011 in Marseille. This workshop addresses all the actors who are involved or wish to get involved in the territorial management of the Mediterranean region. It aims at developing experience feedback and share, at detecting common issues, and at helping projects initialization between SMEs and local authorities of the Mediterranean Basin. François Salgé, vice president, will represent EUROGI and give a paper related to SDI for land management of Mediterranean cities and territories. |
