The overall objective of GRAAL - GMES for Regions: Awareness and Access Link - is  to foster the development of GMES Downstream Services and develop the link of GMES with Regions (and other local authorities of comparable importance).

This workshop "GRAAL project Brussels briefing #1: GMES services seek local authorities for long-lasting relationship for mutual benefit…", will highlight the challenges faced by local and regional authorities in three key sectors and describe how GMES technology is already helping them face these challenges or what services they would like to use in the future. For each sector a supplier company will respond to these challenges and outline possible technical solutions and current state-of-the art applications.
