FIRST STATUTES OF EUROGI SIGNED ON MAY 20, 1994

EUROGI formally completes 15 years of official activity today (May 20, 2009).

In fact, it was exactly 15 years ago on May 20, 1994 that the first Statutes of EUROGI were signed by Michael Brand and Bas Kok.

Although many changes occurred in the European Geographic Information framework and related communities, EUROGI is proud to still act within the original principles and values of commitment that firstly justified its establishment.

EUROGI would like to thank and congratulate all of those that on an individual or institutional role have contributed for the development of the organisation, and by doing so broaden the relevance of Geographic Information within all instances and levels in Europe and abroad.

We look forward to the next fruitful and intense 15 years of activity.
