EURADIN National Workshop - Portugal

The first Portuguese workshop of the project EURADIN – European Address Infrastructure, co funded by the EC eContentplus Programme 2005-2008 (ECP-2007-GEO-317002), took place on July 2nd 2009 at the facilities of the Instituto Geográfico Português (IGP) in Lisboa.
Organised by IGP and UNINOVA, the Portuguese partners of the EURADIN project, the workshop had the participation of Morten Lind from Denmark (DK) as an expert addressing the INSPIRE progress and Addresses and thanks to the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN) from Spain (EC) a presentation of the CartoCiudad project delivered by Alicia González Jiménez & José Miguel Rubio Iglesias.
The one morning workshop registered close to 40 attendees, included also a session on Addresses – Practice in Portugal and finished by an Open discussion with the active participation of some relevant address stakeholders.
EUROGI supported the workshop as part of activities planned for the Work package 9 on Networking and Dissemination to develop the European Addresses Forum (EAF) across Europe. A follow up workshop is planned in Portugal for the beginning of 2010 within the same framework.
